Looked forward to using a simple stroke keeper when I bought this. Unfortunately, within just the first three holes of using this item, it twice advanced to the next hole when I had not yet hit the button to do so. Now, I had it hanging by the clip off of one of my belt loops, and maybe that was part of the problem. Maybe if you hook it up in a stable fashion to your bag or cart, it might do the job. The price is right, so give it a shot if you think it might do the trick for you.

A nice simple device. Can easily be complemented using this iPhone App called iHandicap which is simple to use and will calculate your handicap based on the USGA formula (iHandicap is already really cheap but use this valid promo code and get it for free: ARHNXH4EXRKE (use by 12/7/09)).

Love the counter. You can add – and subtract strokes (if you made a mistake). I also love the handy clip – which you can clip on your belt loop or your golf bag. It beats trying to keep track of a piece of paper and pencil!

This works well and is easy to use the only draw back that exists as far as I am concerned is that it doesn’t time itself off and so if you forget to turn it off too many times you will probably be buying batteries also. It can clip right to your towel holder so when you return a club to the bag just click the stroke at the same time, easy and convenient.

This score keeper seemed like a good idea. Only used it once. The battery went dead after two holes (first time used). Now the battery door is missing and I can’t find the correct size battery to replace the dead one. I do not reccommend this product.
