Shorten Your Golf Swing
Most players have their mind-set on driving the ball long off the tee box, but on the way a large amount of unpleasant habits are formed in making an attempt to maximize the distance. One of those unacceptable habits is increasing their backswings more than their adaptability allows.
Usually, the distance of the backswing is pre-arranged by your body turn. Your arms (and your club) should be in sync and stop turning when your shoulders stop moving.
So what are the typical reasons for overswing? The most common is when you bend the left elbow and lift the arms off of the body. Here is how you fix each.
If your elbow is no longer straight at the very top of your swing, then you are going too far. This is when your hands will be too near to your head.

If you’ve got a habit of lifting your arms off the body after your shoulder turn has ended, try putting something in your armpits. When you lift your arms and the gloves drop, you will know that you did not keep them close enough to your body.
Taking a long swing always gives you the chance of hitting the ball a good way. by taking more compact swing you’ll have more consistencies with your shots and the ball will hit more accurately.
Every player wants more yards but there are right ways to go about it and the wrong way.
